Attorney James Hall and JDoe creator Ryan Soscia discuss anonymous sexual assault reporting
Ryan Soscia is a former intern at Hall Law. We are proud early supporters of his innovative reporting system JDoe.
In the interview James and Ryan discuss how lawyers, victims and law enforcement come together to give victims a voice.
Is there justice?
Today’s justice system is unable to provide safe and empathetic spaces for survivors. Sexual misconduct remains a difficult crisis for woman and men. Fear, social blaming, and isolation continued to be key factors that cause victims to remain silent.
JDoe is an encrypted an anonymous reporting platform. By inking victims of mutal offenders with lawyer, JDoe encourages the pursuit of legal action to catalyze legal success and prevent future offices. Available now an IOS and Android. Doe allows victims and attorneys to connect and report assaults and the predators’ names and descriptions.
It lends power to woman and men who are victims of human trafficking, date rape and other circumstances where only “He said, she said” is the most pressing evidence. One person’s voice is meaningful but when patterns evolve it allows lawyers and other law enforcement agencies to identify other victims so they can get justice as a group.
